Denver Public Library used its digitized historic city maps in a web application (https://history.denverlibrary.org/maps/time-travelers/) to let people compare detailed maps from different times in Denver's history. This talk will present a start-to-finish DIY kit to help you do the same for your community.

Library Accessibility and HB21-1110 - Presented by Adam Olsen
My talk would cover website and resource accessibility, especially as it relates to the new Colorado accessibility law. This would cover how to meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility requirements on a webpage, as well as some of the challenges libraries may face when this law goes into effect. I would also cover how we're handling this at Mines and what we plan to do in the future.

Book to Movie Club - Presented by Jane Van Baren
“The book is always better than the movie” seems a popular consensus among readers. But is that truly the case with every film adaptation? Each month at the Book to Movie Club, we seek to answer that decades-old question. We read a book from a variety of genres, including contemporary fiction, international classics, and non-fiction adventure stories. We then meet at the local movie theater to watch the film adaptation of the book and stay to discuss the book and movie afterwards. Whether you have access to a theater or not, come hear how you can offer your patrons a new perspective to a familiar book or film, and encourage them to try unfamiliar ones.
